They charge a monthly fee for a set amount of words, and the content gets delivered to the client regularly.
In addition to providing content, this content writing service also offers paid writing roles for freelance writers to make some money — yes, they're the writers who will be writing the content for the clients.
This Contentfly review will look at both sides of the coin, and reading it will benefit both the buyer and the writer.
But first, let's concentrate on using the service as a content buyer.

Creating content can be difficult for many people, mainly because of a lack of time and ability to produce high-quality content. If you run a blog or business that requires content, you have two main choices: write it yourself or pay someone to write it for you.

If you read the sales page on the website, Contentfly states that they only use the top 1% of writers, and each writer has to go through a content quality inspection process before being accepted.
While the latter is valid to some extent (they do ask for writing samples before accepting writers), the suggestion that they only use the top 1% of writers is hard to take — how do they know that they're using the top 1% of all content writers?
Contentfly states that the editing team checks all articles for the following:
- The overall quality of the writing
- Whether it adheres to the brief
- If it has been SEO-optimized
They allow unlimited revisions and offer a money-back guarantee for the first 4,000 words of your account, with a full refund if you're unhappy, so you would think there's a good chance of receiving quality content.
The truth?
During my research on various blogs and websites like Trustpilot, I concluded that the general feeling was that the content was OK. Not fantastic, but just OK.
Another way I checked out the quality of the content was through their free samples of writing on the website. I took an article and pasted it into Grammarly, and the result was a score of 73 out of 100, with a few grammar errors.
When you realize that the samples they are providing are probably from their better writers, it gives you a better understanding of the quality to expect.

Buying writing services is a simple enough process. You select the type of content you want (eg, social media posts, blog articles, etc.), the word count you require, and upload your brief for the writing client to follow.

If they like your writing samples, you will write a test article, and if all goes well, you will get accepted as a writer.
You can then view the dashboard and search for work.

Visit the dashboard and claim the jobs you want from the content requests. You then read the brief and write the content within the deadline.
If the client is pleased with your work, they will likely label you as a favorite writer, which could mean ongoing retainer work.

In addition, the client can ask for unlimited revisions, so write as clearly and error-free as possible.
How Much Work Can You Get Writing For Contently?
It depends; you will first be on probation, so some jobs won't even show up on the dashboard.
However, if you show your worth as a good writer, meet deadlines, and stick to the writing guidelines, you should be able to get a fair bit of work each month.

It's not the best quality in the world, and as a writer, you can find better clients to work for. But if you're looking for a simple solution for your content purposes, it's worth considering as a temporary solution.
However, with regard to those buying content, my advice would be to try and build your content writing team by finding writers through job boards. This will save you money in the long run. Plus, you'll know for sure (after testing them) that the writer you're using is producing the goods.
A 2,000-word blog post on Contentfly would cost you $150, which is 7.5 cents per word. If you paid this for a writer on a job board, you would get better content, in my opinion, and be in total control of your content team.
