Can You See Who Viewed Your TikTok Profile by User?
No, you cannot see specifically who viewed your TikTok profile. However, you can see how many TikTok users view your videos by looking at your profile page or your video analytics (and you can learn how to delete a TikTok video that doesn't perform well).
In the past, when TikTok was a lesser-known app, you used to be able to see who viewed your TikTok profile. This feature was similar to Instagram Stories. However, TikTok removed this feature some time ago.
Can You See Who Viewed Your TikTok Videos by User?
No, you can’t see which specific users viewed your TikTok videos. The only way you’ll know with certainty that a specific user viewed your video is if they like it, comment on it, stitch, or duet it.
Otherwise, you can only see general statistics like view count, comment count, and number of likes.
So – whether you’re wondering if a specific person is watching your videos or if a specific person can see that you’re watching theirs, the answer is no.
What TikTok Video View Counts Tell You
Whether you have a professional account or a personal account, TikTok allows users to see how many people play their videos.
This number is displayed in white next to a small “play” icon on each video from your profile page or the profile page of another user.
TikTok video views for every profile are displayed to every user, regardless of whether or not you own the account.
However, as a TikTok account owner, you can get access to deeper and more specific analytics for each video (as well as the ability to hide who you follow on TikTok).
How to Access Your TikTok Analytics
Both professional and personal accounts have access to TikTok analytics. You can learn a lot about how your videos perform from the analytics screen.
However, they don’t tell you anything about specific users or who viewed your TikTok (but you can see who favorited your TikTok videos).
To access your analytics from both a personal and a professional account, click the “Profile” icon from your TikTok app.
Then click the hamburger menu (three lines) in the upper right corner of your profile and select “Creator Tools”.
At the very top of this page, you’ll see a tab for “Analytics”, click that.
The Analytics button will take you to a page that tells you all about your content performance, profile, followers, and more.
Accessing TikTok Analytics for Specific Videos
You can access analytics for a specific video (of your own) by opening the video and clicking the number next to the “Play” icon at the bottom of the video.
This will open a screen that tells you when you posted the video, the total amount of time the video has been played overall, the average watch time, and much more.

How to Make a Viral Video on TikTokWhat TikTok Analytics DO Tell You
TikTok analytics give you a lot of information about how your profile and content performs overall.
Whether you’re trying to be an influencer, using the app to grow your business, or just use TikTok for fun, it’s really interesting to see how your videos do on the platform.
When you access your analytics from the hamburger menu on your profile, you’ll see tabs for “Overview”, “Content”, “Followers”, and “Live”.
You can choose your date range to be the last 7 days, last 28 days, last 60 days, or Custom.
The Overview tab gives you general information on video views, profile views, likes, comments, shares, follower count, and how many videos you posted in the time frame (find out the best time to post on TikTok).
If you have a website link on your TikTok profile, you'll be able to see link clicks, too. (Check out our post on how to add a website to TikTok if you don't know how to do this yet.)
The Content tab gives you more specific information for each video, and this is where it gets really interesting.
You can click on each video for more information where you will learn how people found your video. They can find it from the For You page, from their following feed, or from your profile.
The app will tell you how many people watched the full video, the average watch time, and how long it’s been played overall.
The single video analytics are the same as you would see if you accessed them from your profile page.
The Followers tab gives you details about your followers including total follower count, growth rate percentage, gender, geographical location, and what time of day they’re most active.
Finally, the LIVE tab gives you access to analytics about your LIVE video performance including viewer count, time watched, gifts, and more.
How to Control Who Sees Your TikTok Profile
You can’t see for sure who specifically views your profile, but there are a few things you can do to control who views your content in the first place.
Making Your Profile Private
The first option is to make your profile private. TikTok is great for both personal use and for business (but it can also become addicting – and you may want to know how to delete your TikTok account).
But what if you don’t want family members, real-life friends, or coworkers to see your videos or get glimpses into your personal life?
Making your profile private is a great option. This way you can approve who can see your videos so you know that nobody is snooping around or spying on you.
To make your profile private, click the hamburger menu on your profile and select “Settings and Privacy”. From here you can click “Privacy” and toggle on “Private Account.”
Blocking Specific Users
Making a private account will mean that your TikTok is no longer viewable by the general public.
A private account won’t ever make it to the For You page – and that can be a major downside if you want to grow your account.
If you just want to block specific users instead of making your entire account private, you can do that too.
In order to block someone on TikTok, you have to know their profile handle, which can also help you know how to unfollow on TikTok. Once you find their profile handle, navigate to their profile, click the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner, and click “Block”.
Wrapping Up
Can you see who viewed your TikTok? No, not specifically.
But you can see a lot of data about your overall content and profile performance inside of TikTok analytics.
However, if you want to know if your crushes or enemies are watching your TikTok videos, you’re out of luck.
You can control who sees your videos by blocking specific users or making your profile private, but you have to know their username if you want to block them.
While you can’t see specific user details in the TikTok app, there’s no doubt that this app has one of the best analytics dashboards of any social media platform on the market today.
