What is the Niche Pursuits Internship?
The Niche Pursuits Internship is a 4 week long opportunity organized and managed by Spencer, Hayden Miyamoto (from NoHatDigital.com), and Scott Davis. All 3 of us have built tons of websites and grown large online businesses.
You will primarily be working directly with a team that is employed by Spencer, Hayden, and Scott.
The Niche Pursuits internship is a way for you to get a “behind the scenes” look into a successful online business. Not only will you get to learn from our team, you will also get to see one or more of our private websites that we've never revealed publicly. As an intern, you will be helping us add content and grow this website right alongside several other interns.
You will also learn our internal techniques and procedures for doing keyword research, writing valuable articles, and other content strategies.
You will apply what you learn and do in-depth keyword research, on-page optimization, and be responsible for 10 articles of content (about 9k words) in a 4 week period. You will be given clear templates to either write this content yourself or spec out this content for other writers.
We hope to start the internship on April 20th, 2016.
What do Interns Get?
- Be surrounded by successful people. Ability to work with the Niche Pursuits internship team on a project. You will get to see the tactics and strategies we apply to build successful businesses.
- “Hang Out” with Other Interns. You will be one of many interns that join our group, and you will be helping check the work of other interns. As a result, you will have plenty of interaction with other like minded online entrepreneurs. Networking with other top-notch interns can have its benefits for sure.
- Advanced Keyword Research and On Site Optimization Skills. You will learn the high level tactics we have developed in our own businesses over the years, that you can then take and apply directly into your own websites.
- Get real life examples and knowledge. Ability to see the actual site and review one or more of our private projects that no other Niche Pursuits readers will see.
- Get Our Standard Operating Procedures Handed to You. Interns will have full access to lots of SOPs, systems, and templates that we use in our business all the time. This will fast track your business as you take and use these systems to outsource work for your own sites after the internship.
- Work Remotely or in Mexico! This internship is a “work from home” opportunity. You can work anywhere you want and any hours you want. However, we may provide the opportunity to any “star” interns to come to Mexico and hang out and work with Hayden, Scott, and his team for a period of time.
- Future Partnership? To be honest, we are always looking for those “superstar” interns that we can potentially work with long term. For some of you, the training you get from the internship might not be all you are interested in. You might have bigger plans and business ideas that just need a little boost. All 3 of us are interested in partnering with smart people that have great ideas for future business opportunities. Or we may be so impressed with your work, that we just decide we would like to hire you on a part time or full-time basis. All of these are very real possibilities.
What Does Spencer, Hayden, and Scott Get?
- Free content written by interns (10 articles per intern).
- Help optimizing one of our sites…for free.
- A way to find high-performing people that we can potentially partner with on future business opportunities.
- We have no other motive than the points listed above. We believe in this project and that it can make money as the site grows and earns more in commissions. We have nothing to sell after the internship, we expect to make our money because the site will grow and pay us in Adsense clicks, Amazon affiliates, or other commission earnings.
What is required of interns?
- Keyword research tasks completed (taught in internship)
- 10 in-depth articles in 4 weeks. (About 9k to 10k words total). You can write the articles yourself, or outsource the work (we will teach you our best practices for outsourcing).
- Posting and optimizing your own articles on the site.
- Other basic tasks like editing other interns articles or posting articles may also be required.
- Work your own hours from your own location!
- $250 REFUNDABLE deposit. We only ask for a deposit if your application is accepted. Then at the end of the internship, we give your $250 back. The only way you won't get your deposit back is if you don't complete the 10 articles. It's simply a way to ensure you have a little bit of “skin in the game”.
