Link Whisper is Coming Soon! A Smarter Way to Build Internal Links in WordPress

By Spencer Haws |

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I had “secretly” been working on building a premium WordPress Plugin.

Well, I’m now happy to share that the development of that plugin, Link Whisper, is nearly complete!  I’ve had a couple dozen beta testers using it and providing feedback.

The feedback and testing has been critical to making sure that when I launch that things will go as smooth as possible.  So far, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive!

Today, I want to share a bit more in-depth about what Link Whisper does and how it can make your job of building powerful internal links much easier.   In order to do that, I’ve created a video that walks you through the plugin.

Video WalkThrough of Link Whisper

Check out the video below to see exactly how Link Whisper works.

In a nutshell, here’s my 3 favorite ways to use Link Whisper:

Want To Build Smart & Relevant Internal Links...Quickly?

NichePursuits Rating

Link Whisper is a revolutionary tool that makes internal linking much faster, easier, and more effective.  It makes it simple to boost your site’s authority in the eyes of Google. You can use Link Whisper to:

  • Bring out your orphaned content that isn’t ranking
  • Create smart, relevant, and fast internal links
  • Simple yet effective internal links reporting: what has lots of links and what pages need more links?

Build better internal links with Link Whisper

  1. Add links from articles that you are currently writing or editing.  Link Whisper will automatically suggest relevant in-content links from the article you are writing to other articles on your site.  And the anchor text is also automatically suggested, but you can also manually change the anchor text very quickly (as shown in the video).
  2. Use the Internal Links Report to discover content that doesn’t have any internal links pointing at it.  Often called, “orphan” content, you might be surprised to know that you have content sitting out there that you are trying to rank in google for that doesn’t have a single internal link.  Give it some link juice!  The reports page also shows how many internal links are coming from any given article as well as external links.
  3. Add new internal links to an article without any (or many) links.  Once you’ve discovered your orphan content, just click “Add”, and then view the link suggestions given by Link Whisper.  As shown in the video, just check the boxes you want and click save and your links are added.

Overall, this is a huge time saver!  I’ve been using this plugin on both and my Niche Site Project 4 site for the past month or more.  This definitely makes smart building internal links much faster and much easier.

Link Whisper is Now Available!

When Is It Available?

After several months of development and weeks of testing across dozens of websites, I finally feel like I’m able to set a launch date.

Link Whisper will be publicly released on July 11th, 2019!

If you would like to be notified as soon as Link Whisper is Available, you can join the waitlist right here.

Will this plugin work with thrive themes architect?

Spencer Haws

Yes! It’s been testing a lot using Thrive and other visual builders.

Wow, July 11th is my birthday! You give me a gift on my special day :D. Can you give me a chance to use its beta version before it releases?

Spencer Haws

Happy b-day! I already have enough beta testers for now. Thanks!

Spenser, I am excited about Link Whisper. Love It! Question for you… do you know if this will this work with a wp site using Custom Post Types?

Spencer Haws

Thanks Charlie! Yes, I believe it should work on custom post types. We have an option in the settings to allow for different types of content, so this should work. (And can easily add if there are issues with custom post types).

Brilliant! This is one of those “I can’t believe that no-one hasn’t done this already” SEO plugins!

Spencer Haws

Thank you Carson! I’m loving it on my sites right now…hope others do as well!

Hi Spencer,

This looks great! Have you done any load testing or speed testing on the plugin yet? The reason I don’t use an interlinking plugin currently is that all of them really have a high load on the server and bog down the site speed.

If you do, then I would love to see the results.

Spencer Haws

No specific speed testing yet. I will add that to the to-do list.

Duke Taber

Awesome! Thanks!

Can’t wait for this to be released!

Spencer Haws

Thanks Dominique!

All my internal links are now set to open in a new window/tab. Does the plugin have the function to control that or do they only leave the page to the liking page?

Spencer Haws

I’m adding that option to the plugin in the next couple of days. You can choose to have links open in a new tab or not. This has been a much requested feature from beta testers.

Rohan Bhardwaj

It would be amazing if this could add automatic links to every article by clicking just one button. I don’t know if this is even possible but that would be magical for someone who has like 1000 blog post with no internal links.

Brady Cargle

That would be cool, and I’ve recommended that Spencer include an “Add all links” feature. But right now some of the links aren’t always relevant, so they’re best chosen by hand.

The good news is the LinkWhisper uses AI, so it gets smarter over time 😉

This seems great! Very very useful indeed! May I ask, how much does it cost you to develop and test this plugin?

Brady Cargle

We’re very excited 🙂

Can’t give exact numbers, but it’s in the low 5 figures right now.

Emily Laster

Can’t wait for this to be released!

Brady Cargle

We’re super excited too!

Waiting for link whisper.. link building is a very hectic job. I am sure this will really help us to reduce the burden..

Brady Cargle

I can tell you that Link Whisper has sped up my internal linking a TON. We use it on Niche Pursuits, Spencer uses it on NSP4, and I use it on my site.

Danail Donchev

Waiting impatiently!

So are we 😀

This looks like a huge time saver.

You should look me up and reach out.

Love plugins like this that solve a problem.

Spencer Haws

Thanks Adam! Look for an email from me 🙂

Will this plugin also work for different languages, will it support Dutch?

Similar Question is this multilanguage plugin or only english one?

Dan w

Few questions

1) is there a refund option if we’re not a fan of it after trying it out?

2) if I add links using the plugin, but then deactivate or remove the plugin, will the links stay or will they all be removed since the plugin is gone?

Im having the same questions. What happens to the created links if in the future I happen to deactivate the plugin?

Spencer Haws

1. Of course. You can always ask for a refund within 30 days of trying it out.
2. If you use the classic editor, your links stay no matter what. If you use a visual editor (like thrive) you would need to keep the plugin installed (even if you cancelled) in order to keep the links.

Laine Norton

Hey Spencer. I was actually just looking for answers to the second question asked by Dan here. However, your response contradicts the answer given on the Link Whisper support page:

which is correct?

Spencer Haws

The article you linked to is correct! We just made that update in Link Whisper, so my previous comment here is no longer accurate. Links are permanent, no matter what.
